How to Delete Your Data

Hierdie bladsy is in Engels sodat ons diensverskaffers dit ook kan lees. Stuur gerus jou versoek in Afrikaans.

You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. This page explains exactly how to do that and what happens next. There is no charge, and you do not need an account to make the request.

How to request deletion

Email [email protected] with the subject line Data deletion request, and tell us:

  • your full name,
  • the email address or phone number you used when you ordered or signed up,
  • an order number if you have one, which helps us find you faster.

You can also phone us on 082 652 1773 and we will start the request for you.

We may ask one question to confirm you are who you say you are. This protects you, because we will not delete somebody’s account on the word of a stranger.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge your request within 5 working days.
  • We complete the deletion within 30 days.
  • We email you to confirm what was deleted and what, if anything, we had to keep.

What we delete

  • Your website account and login details.
  • Your saved delivery and billing addresses.
  • Your phone number and email address on your customer record.
  • Emails and messages between us that we no longer need.

What we have to keep, and why

If you have bought from us, South African tax law requires us to keep invoice and payment records for five years from the end of the relevant tax year. We cannot delete those before then, even if you ask. What we do instead is strip them back to the minimum the law requires and stop using them for anything else.

Once that period ends, those records are deleted too.

Facebook and Instagram

Our Facebook page and the app we use to schedule our own posts do not collect or store your personal information. We publish posts, and that is all the app does.

If you have commented on or messaged our Facebook page and you want that removed:

  • You can delete your own comments directly on Facebook at any time.
  • You can ask us to delete them using the email address above and we will remove them from our page.
  • Information that Meta itself holds about you is controlled by Meta, not by us. Manage it in your Facebook account settings under Your Information, or at accountscenter.facebook.com.

If you are not satisfied

If we do not handle your request properly, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
